YT15Minutes – KsCustoms Engineering: Young engineer with huge goals
By
Hey Youtube! And welcome to my video entry for the "15 Minutes Of Fame"
(Please read my "commentary" section below before posting your own)
Before we get started, i'd like to say a few things. This video is not perfect, and contains a Very lengthy script, so I did a voice over with my narrations. The welds are not perfect, because I have only been welding for a few years. And I have not worked on any huge projects because I have to save any money I get for college. I have my history which describes the ingenuity which is my gift, but it is not included in the video, because of time issues. This whole script can be viewed at www.myspace.com/KsCustomsEng
#########——-COMMENTARY——-#########
PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING COMMENTS:]
I Know I may sound cocky, but it is almost impossible not to when showing personal accomplishments. You DO NOT know me personally, because I am very different than you may think. I am a very supportive and loving person. I do not pride in myself, but pride in God. Even if you do not believe in God, it doesn't matter, I am proud not to be able to build stuff like this, but i am proud that I can build well for our world and the fact I will be making it a better place with my skills.
Please review you comment before posting :]! Unacceptable comments will be deleted.

Hope the best for you kid. I believe you have more than what it takes to make it.

Kid you have awesome ideas and are starting to put them into action. Its good you are becoming a "doer" and not just a dreamer. But as from one fabricator to another, on your welding….please please please do one of two things (in this order too)
1. Buy a tank of argon gas for your welder (makes your welds more pure, penatrate more, and stronger)
2. Turn the voltage (power) of your welder up. Your welds look very weak and you are going to have one break.
just a couple words of advice.

my only comment is that trial and error is NOT the best way to solve problems. It can be effective but there is no "best way" to solve a problem, only things that are better than others.

Props. Sorry about your sister. I lost my father when I was 11 years old. I started working on engines and machines every single day from that time onward. I started rebuilding motorcycle and car engines when I was 14. When I was 23 I reached my peak and built my own computer engine management system to control my car engine that I built and turbocharged. When you master engines and vehicles, you'll need to find a new challenge. I moved onto electronics! Props to your young intelligence bro!

August 9th, 2010 at 5:22 pm
"trial and errors" is actually the WORST way to solve problems
.
Good vid nontheless, hope you'll like your engineering studies, they are great
August 9th, 2010 at 5:29 pm
@qcStarcraft Umm.. how to figure this, some of the greatest inventions were ideas that were applied, failed and tweaked and they have become great products. If you never fail, you will never learn. If you never try, you will never achieve. I don't think this kid needs advice from us because he probably has a dad that gives him great advice.

im 25, i grew up on lego's and erector sets, i wanted to go to college for auto mechanics but did computer repair in stead, I fix and repair anything that's broken without any knowledge either. I still dream of making that custom car that regenerates energy, self propulsion vehicle that hovers with 10 different blades in the back and drives 2FWD, that will one day power your home. there will be many obstacles and brick walls you will face, but hold true to your dreams and faith.
August 9th, 2010 at 5:39 pm
i have to tell you man, far from being a engineer. this shit you showed here today is nothing more than basic designs, any tard could have done this when they were 10. just wait untill your in engineering school. it's way harder it will definatly open you mind up and make you feel like a dumbass. all in all good video keep your head up, your on your way to success. sorry about your sister
August 9th, 2010 at 5:41 pm
you'll be an awesome engineer one day and who knows you might replace foose! sorry about your sister. may she be blessed
August 9th, 2010 at 5:47 pm

August 9th, 2010 at 5:49 pm
Good job dude
August 9th, 2010 at 5:51 pm
trial and error IS how you learn. Just keep doing what you do and eventually you'll get where ya want. You might wanna change your name though as Kansas Kustoms already exists and build some pretty rad motorcycle bits! Don't let these wannabe web rockers get ya down man.
August 9th, 2010 at 5:52 pm
LOL talented engineer. there is no such thing. That is one of those mythological oxymorons. Just work your plan, dont let your plan work you.
August 9th, 2010 at 5:57 pm
well done keep up the good work
August 9th, 2010 at 6:08 pm
respect kid!!!
August 9th, 2010 at 6:18 pm
I can't imagine what it must be like to lose a family member. So I do feel for you in that sense.
But it disturbs me that you seem to use your sister's death 5 years ago to add a "touching" element to the story (hint: you shouldn't have to tell the viewer when a story is touching, it's a bit much) when it had very little to do with your current situation. Adding that music at the end when you suddenly mention it seems manipulative and tacky.
Also, your arrogance is off the charts. Reign it in.

@dannydpro haha not quite
I have plenty of shit of built not the least of which includes a 1978 cj7 that I have built or customized every aspect of
btw I'm in college for mechanical engineering so it's not like I'm just a little kid wasting time in my dads garage
