Um, Alli you are really setting a horrible example for people. The snake looked like a water moccasin (poisonous) and you shouldn't be stopping at night, in the street to be saving it. You're just going to get people in accidents or hit by cars.

Hi! Don't you think it would be a great idea to learn about snakes before you get near them? There are numerous deadly snakes from around the world that could end up in Florida. We don't want to see you loading videos from a hospital bed because you tried to help a snake cross the road. Please be careful. Thanks
PS. The same goes for other dangerous animals in Florida. A gator can out run and out swim a person or a dog. Snakes in the water can catch you also. It's better to be safe than sorry!

@srssyn its known as the spiny-backed orbweaver, jewel spider, spiny-bellied orbweaver, jewel box spider or smiley face spider, the most comon being the JEWELLED SPIDER, Gasteracantha cancriformis its its "real" name if you will have a bite that gives a mild local pain but is not poisonous. They are harmless to humans and usually move out of the way when approached The female is the stronger of the breed and her bite is more intense. a human may experience localized pain and swelling
